Tees Components are firm believers in the value of skills development, especially in nurturing new talent and have been training apprentices for decades.
Over 40% of our workforce started their careers as apprentices, many of them serving their time with the business. We work continuously to improve the quality of our training, ensuring an experience suited to the modern workplace as well as opportunities for career progression. Half of our Senior Leadership team are former apprentices and by providing development routes both within the workshop and our staff team, we can build organizational resilience.
We are extremely proud of the contribution our apprentices make to our business and as well as holding an “Apprentice of the Year” award, we provide excellent work opportunities at the end of their programme. Our high profile clients appreciate the level of skill, innovation and knowledge that our apprentice-trained team bring to each project.
Our award-winning engineering machine shop apprenticeship scheme is more than just a foot in the door – it provides the qualifications and experience required to succeed in our ever-evolving industry. The comprehensive, technical programme combines traditional work-based learning, alongside specialist engineers, with a high quality technical certificate and evidence qualification from a local training provider.
We are proud that the scheme has recently been recognised by the National Apprenticeship Service, Make UK, Made In The UK and The Northern Echo.
New applications for the scheme are currently being accepted, and we look forward to welcoming our newest cohort of apprenticeships candidates in the summer.
